Dr. Schaffer is a 5th degree black belt and instructor of Kung Fu San Soo. He's practiced as taught in the lineage of Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo for more than 10 years.
Architecture was the first degree Dr. Schaffer earned. He has transformed three spaces into martial arts studios. He continues his interest in affordable green housing, especially owner-designed and built structures. Using local materials and building traditions lets residents invest ownership of their homes and communities. Dr. Schaffer remodeled his eight residences by hand.
Dr. Schaffer believes in biodynamic gardening, maintaining organic vegetable plots at his home office. Sustainable agriculture using only organic compost as fertilizer produces good food.
